Celebrating the Law of Giving and Receiving
The Christmas holiday season is a wonderful time. It conjures up childhood memories of putting up the Christmas tree and the anticipation of Santa’s arrival. There’s familiar smells of gingerbread cookies, eggnog, cinnamon and pine. Moreover, we celebrate the love of our families, steadfast friends and the luxury of good fortune.
The Rotary Club of Towne Lake
There’s a special place right here in Woodstock, GA that carries the spirit of Christmas year round: The Rotary Club of Towne Lake. Back in 2009, I had the good fortune of serving as Club President for two terms. In the early days, the club existed with many of my own friends with a goal to serve our community. Sure, I may have begun the adventure with a little selfish ambition. I wanted to have a reason to hang out with great friends. However, as the Rotary Club grew, it outgrew my own ambitions and created its own identity. Before my very eyes, people from all over the community are joining in a movement to make our community better!
Be Part Of a Community of Friends
The Rotary Club of Towne Lake has given me a place to develop real friendships. Over the years, I’m able to meet new people and increase our membership. Along with the friendships, one of my greatest joys is to be able to share business knowledge and ideas with this group. Equally, I’ve come to call these members “my friends”. Together, we do fundraisers like Glow Ball Golf Tournament and Rifle Raffle where we raise thousands of dollars for local charities. As a matter of fact, beyond the great connections I have at the Rotary Club, I’m proud to be part of the “sweat equity” in projects we tackle. We celebrate in making a difference one project at a time.
Earth Day 2016 – The Rotary Club of Towne Lake does a little yard work at the trail head at Woodstock Park. Over the next year, the Rotary Club of Towne Lake will continue to work on beautifying this great space.

To honor each other, my wife and I will be hosting the 8th annual The Rotary Club of Towne Lake’s Christmas Party at our house on December 10, 2016. Coupled with giving thanks, it’s a time to celebrate our achievements. As such, I would like to invite you to join us at our holiday party.
